Dr Leigh Golding

Dr Leigh Golding is a Specialist Sports & Exercise Medicine Physician and the current doctor for the Australian Men’s Cricket Team. He provides expert diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal injuries for athletes and the general public across Sydney.He has extensive experience in elite sport, including cricket, rugby union, rugby league, netball, golf, rowing, football and athletics. Leigh provides match-day medical support for international rugby union, the NRL, Super Rugby and Cricket Australia. His previous team roles include NSW Swifts Netball, NSW Athletics, Junior Wallabies, the Presidents Cup International Golf Teams and Cronulla Sharks.Areas of expertise include:• Knee injuries (meniscus, patellofemoral pain, osteoarthritis)

His approach is evidence-based, combining accurate diagnosis, targeted imaging, individualised rehabilitation and athlete-centred treatment planning.He has a strong clinical interest in adolescent lumbar pars stress injuries, tendon loading, sports concussion, and arthritis. He contributes regularly to sports medicine research and collaborates widely with physiotherapists, surgeons and high-performance teams.
